The Present as a Field of Perception: Notes on Micro Phase Difference

I have been thinking about the nature of time and perception.
What we see is actually the past. Without light, we cannot see anything. Every image we perceive arrives with a delay determined by the finite speed of light, yet we call it "the present."
The landscape before us, the people around us, and even the Sun itself are seen through light that carries information from the past. The sunlight reaching Earth left the Sun about eight minutes ago. In the same way, the Sun receives light reflected from Earth with a similar delay.
Since light travels at a finite speed, every observation contains a phase difference in time. Even an object one meter away is seen approximately 3.3 nanoseconds in the past. The delay is extremely small, but it is never zero.
For this reason, I wonder whether existence and recognition are inseparable from phase difference. Perhaps what we call "now" is not a single instant, but a field composed of countless overlapping moments from the immediate past.
This idea is related to my ongoing thoughts about the relationship between time, perception, and photography.

光は非常に速いですが無限ではありません。そのため、あらゆる観測には時間的な位相差が存在します。たとえ1メートル先の物体であっても、私たちは約3.3ナノ秒前の姿を見ています。その差は極めて小さいものの、決してゼロにはなりません。
私は、この位相差こそが存在の認識に不可欠なのではないかと考えています。もしかすると「今」とは単一の瞬間ではなく、無数の微小な過去が重なり合った認識の場なのかもしれません。
これは私が写真と時間の関係について考え続けている研究にもつながっています。

光はそう速くはないというのが僕の昔からの認識だ。つまり位相がなければ存在できない。又は確認できないのではないかと考えている。
光は1秒で地球7周半 1周 0.13秒 1メートルあたり0.0000000033秒・約3.3ナノ秒の遅れ。
光の速度は速い遅いではなく有限である事実。

For a long time, I have believed that light is not really that fast. In other words, without a phase difference, things may not be able to exist, or at least they may not be able to be confirmed.
Light travels around the Earth about seven and a half times in one second. One circuit of the Earth takes approximately 0.13 seconds. For every meter, there is a delay of about 0.0000000033 seconds, or roughly 3.3 nanoseconds.
The important fact is not whether the speed of light is fast or slow, but that it is finite.
